The real world of beekeeping

Introduction

I don't fully trust or believe the beekeepers on the internet. The national average of colony loses for the last 3 years, which is when I started beekeeping, have been between 55% and 62%, yet no beekeepers on the internet seems to be having any problems. They are all happy and giving advice about how to care for bees. I find that extremely strange. I've been following their advice. My 1st year I had a 66% lose; 2nd year was 40%; and, this year is 62% lose with a possibility of being 75%. All the people that start beekeeping quit within 2 years. I'm addicted to beekeeping. Bees are fascinating and I enjoy working with them. I'm not going to quit but, I'm not always going to be happy about the outcomes of my activities yet, acting like everything is rainbows and butterflies. My journal is going to be the real world of beekeeping.
